GMAT is an extract of The Graduate Management Admission Test. This is a constant evaluation test which is aligned to measure basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that have developed with the study and work experience of every individual. GMAC- Graduate management admission council is the governing body for GMAT exams.

 

The GMAT exam is for the students who aspire to choose the Management courses abroad.

 

 

The GMAT is used to predict academic performance in MBA and other graduate management programs. It is a 3.5-hour computer-adaptive test. Your performance on previous questions determines which questions come next.

 

The score validity is 5 years. The aspirant can attempt only one test given in a calendar month and no more than five times in a year.

 

It consists of 3 sections:

 

Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) -

 

The AWA consists of two separate writing tasks:

  • analysis of an issue and
  • analysis of an argument.

 

You are allowed 30 minutes to complete each one.

 

Quantitative section -

 

This section contains 31 multiple-choice questions of two question types :

  • Data Sufficiency
  • Problem Solving.

 

You will be allowed a maximum of 62 minutes to complete the entire section.

 

Verbal section –

 

This section contains 36 multiple choice questions of three question types :

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Critical Reasoning
  • Sentence Correction

 

65 minutes are allotted to complete each section.

 

Registration, Cancellation and Refund

For Registration the student has to pay the amount of $250. Based on the local law, for more than 7 calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: US$80.00 refund. Within 7 calendar days before the scheduled test date and time: no refund.

 

Attempts and Retakes

The student can attempt the GMAT exam in 31 days duration times and five times within the 12 months times period. And if the score is 800, the student is prohibited from testing for five years from the exam date.
