Accommodation Information
On campus housing ranging from shared condominiums to dormitory-style housing is offered by many institutes. A meal plan or other utilities such a phone and internet connection may not be included in the cost. Kitchen is available in some dorms for you to cook for yourself. Usually, dormitories have common rooms where students can get together to watch television, play games, or simply be with friends.

Mostly, one or more roommates share rooms in dormitories. Usually, dormitory rooms do not have a personal bath or toilet. Instead, residents share large "community" bathrooms, which are separate for men and women.

Average cost of residence/dormitory rooms: $3,000 - $7,500 CDN per school year

Homestays :International students are welcomed by many Canadian families which can also effectively help you to improve your English or French, to learn about daily life in Canada, and to meet new, friendly people.

A homestay basically consists of a Canadian family hosting a student in their home while the student attends the classes. Meals and a private, furnished room are provided in the home, and the host family welcomes and encourages participation in family and community activities.

Renting :Students are open to the option of renting. In this the price, quality and availability vary greatly. The major cities have high rents, and places are also not always available. Sharing accommodation is an option for many students to keep costs down. Students usually find places to meet their needs and preferences.

An off-campus housing service is offered by many schools which can provide affordable listings that are near the campus. Rented accommodations usually have a kitchen, toilet, bath and one or two bedrooms. Furniture or meals are not included in most of the apartments. However, some include the cost of heat/electricity in the rent. Average cost of a suite or apartment: $400 - $1,500 CDN monthly.

Renting a place can also be done by searching online accommodation websites options within the city / country. These are fairly reliable and allow inspection of the place before making the final decision.

Temporary Accommodation: You can initially stay at hostel, local hotel or motel close to the campus for temporary period that may cost anywhere from $50 to $150 per night for single occupancy.
